Gateway to World Class Quality, Environment and Safety Good housekeeping involves every phase of industrial operations and applies throughout the entire premises, indoors and out. It is much more than mere cleanliness, in the sense that it promotes Optimization of resources and Green Productivity. It requires orderly conditions, the avoidance of congestion, and attention to such details as an orderly layout of the whole workplace, the marking of aisles, adequate storage arrangements, and suitable provision for cleaning and maintenance.

OBJECTIVES OF THE GHKC CONTEST
• Provides a Platform for the sharing of the best Practices.
• Provides an Opportunity for Quality Environment Practitioners to share ideas, experiences and achievements towards the improvement of working Conditions.
 • Recognizes exemplary organizations in enhancing operation effectiveness in better Working Environment.

BPC is well known for its activities related to supporting organizations for Productivity Enhancement. You may be aware that Good Housekeeping Competition is a prestigious event arranged by BPC every alternate year for the industries in Gujarat and other parts of the Country since last 50 years. The last competition was held during 2009-2010. Encouraged by the past response and in line with our long standing tradition, we are pleased to announce the Good Housekeeping Contest 2012 – 2013.
